Shiva Saturday!

HAI GUYZ!

Its me again. 32lbs of heaven. Just ask Mom.

I've been busy!

I helped dad redecorate some pillows:

I went and played with the dogs at the dogpark.

Mom gave me new toyz!

Mom took me back to the vet.

They said I'm allergic to treats

(BOO!)

I have to take medicine for 3 weeks,

then we can figure out what exactly I'm allergic to.

Bonus: Mom bought DrApproved wet food for me to take my pills with.

AND SHE LETS ME LICK THE CANS

Dad and Mom took me to see my grandparents.

Mamaw let me play in her garden.

aren't mom and dad cute!

Dad played frisbee with me!

Mom threw sticks for me!

and Papaw let me supervise his sammich making.

He woulda let me have some too, but mom was watching.

We went for really long walks

AND THEN THE WORST THING IN MY WHOLE LIFE HAPPENED.

(Except for being thrown in a dumpster)

There I was, running and playing and sniffing the yard,

when suddenly a wasp stung me!

It got mom and papaw too, but I NO LONGER LIKE FLYING THINGS.

I took the rest of the afternoon to snuggle with mom,

after I stopped crying. Cause it hurt.

AlsoAlso, Car rides are nice for naps.

Naps and face smashings.

What happened??

Did you ever have a rough,

but manageable day,

that seemed to transform into a small demon of sickness?

I'm talking bed-ridden,

terrible, horrible, no good, very bad,

sniffling, sneezing, coughing, achy, stuffy head, fever,

can't-rest-and-won't-have-a-good-morning

sickness?

For some reason, I did.

No chance at a sick day either.

Daddy always says

'We shall endeavor to persevere'

Snapshots from Home

I took my SLR up with me to the mountains this weekend.

Turns out, I got quiet a few pictures that I absolutely loved.

The fridge where Mom keeps the magnets that Mike and I have gotten on our travels.

The Red Bowl that I loved as a kid, still holds everything to make perfect biscuits.

Weekend Update

Friday:

Little Miss Shiva had to go to the vet to get her shots.

(and figure out why she's having such a bad allergic reaction)

2 hours, 4 shots, and 3 weeks of antibiotics later,

But, she's a really good girl.

we packed up the car and headed up to my parent's house.

Where we had a toad-tastic welcoming committee.

A few hours spent chatting and we all went to sleep.

(It was almost 1am after all)

Saturday:

I woke up to my mama making biscuits.

of course I grabbed my camera

The rest of the day was spent,

doing absolutely nothing.

There's no internet at my parent's house.

My iPhone had no service.

-Bliss-

Shiva had a blast running,

plopping through Mom's garden,

and chatting with my dad.

Mike and I had fun watching her.

We did catch the rhythmic gymnastics competition,

I. LOVE. RIBBON. DANCING.

intense TV viewing

I spent some time doing this:

and it was good.

Until a family of wasps decided to wreak havoc upon us.

Dad got stung,

then it was my turn,

then, it was poor Shiva's turn.

After that, she wasn't having anymore of this "outdoors" stuff.

so the three of us spent did some more of this.

You know the best part (ok, one of em) about going home?

Comfort Food.

All your favorites on ONE PLATE.

Another night spent chatting and playing with the dog and more chatting and laughing.

I'm very blessed to have such a great relationship with my parents.

Sunday:

We were up bright and early to head out of town.

The one stop light in town. Yup, ALL OF TOWN.

The ride was pretty easy, especially with

someone passed out the whole time.

The mountains wore her out.

We got back home just in time to see the closing ceremonies

on the London 2012 Olympics.

I loved the Lennon & Freddie Mercury tribute, but the best part?

SPICE GIRLS!

Friday Hodgepodge

Hello Hello Hello!

It's FRIDAY!!!!! (just say it like Oprah.)

I think..that today,

I'm going to be a bit more organized in my hodgepodge.

Does that defeat the purpose..yes.

Iyunno, Iduncare.

Let's start with Friday Letters

Dear Friday: Thank you. Thank you thank you thank you. Dear G105: I don't know if you knew how much I needed to relax a bit, but being the random 15 caller for a radio station that I never listen to that I happened to have on and then decided to call (though I never do) and then win a 1 hour massage...Thank You. Dear God: See Above. Dear Shiva: I apologize ahead of time for taking you to work and kennelling you all day. I promise that it's worth it, though it makes you hate me. Dear Mike: Life is crazy and ever changing right now, and I know that it's really hard on both of us..and "us" day to day, but it's worth it. You're worth it. We're worth it. Love you. Dear Mom & Dad: I'll see y'all in less that 12 hours. HORRAY FOR MOM'S COOKING! I hope this is as relaxing as I need it to be.

Moving on to Manicure chitchat.

From my August Julep Maven box (post forthcoming) Dakota, topped with Sephora's Only Gold for Me. I really liked this mixture actually, it was a nice blend of rose gold and gold that made it subtle yet eyecatching. And of course, what nail post would I have if I didn't compare it to a beverage. (Or two, from the Beer, Bourbon, BBQ fest)
