Friday Mismatch

I  kinda of miss my "let's just wrap everything up" Friday posts.
So here ya go.

I always love whenever I find myself using this mug.
It's homey, reminds me of being a lowly undergrad,
and I can always play ISpy with myself.

Mike's Birthday dinner was a little less fancy this year,
us being one income and all,
but I think I still did a kickarse cake :)

So, after my Wednesday interview,
I came home and consoled myself with these.

The only other thing I acheived this week was a brand new sparkly manicure.
I haven't used this "Mad as a Hatter" glitter in a very VERY long time,
but I'm pretty much in love with it, and over Foie Gras it's fantastic.

This week's Friday Fancies was all about Black and White.

Happy

Do you know what makes me happy?

When my dog gets scared, she jumps on my lap.
Granted she's 55 lbs and it kindof hurts,
but it makes me warm fuzzy that I'm a place of safety for her.

When I open the fridge and see the leftovers that Mike has squirreled away for his lunch.
I love that I can make food for him that he likes enough to take to work.

The silliness that is the kittens. Olive ran HEAD FIRST into the sliding glass door,
and spent a few hours just..watching, with one paw on the door, in case it opened.

Our First Sonoma Trip

One of our final days together,
was spent up in wine country.
Scouting for the wedding.
of course

We stopped at three different wineries,
but the GORGEOUS weather only added to the scenery at every stop.
Viansa Winery
Sebastiani Vineyard

Nicholson Ranch

Sunset at Nicholson Ranch

I might have fallen in love with a bottle of wine.
And this photo.
Some of my favorite things..

a Vitner's calender

possible wedding site?

I also discovered a sneaky love for wine glass shoes.
Seriously:

And our little team had quite the blast.
The whole fam.

It definitely made me look forward to venue hunting for our upcoming nuptuals.
Do you have a favorite winery to visit? or a location I should check out?

Happy Birthday

This guy:
is smarter than anyone I've ever met.
is kinder than anyone I've ever met.
makes every day better than the last one.
laughs, cries, and dreams with me.
is *the* sexiest human alive.
treats me like a princess, even when I'm a brat.
is never scared, or nervous, or afraid of anything.
is my best friend.
follows his dreams with reckless abandon, and it works.
granted my biggest wish when he asked me to marry him.
is definitely my better half.
turns 29 today!

Happy Birthday Babes!
I love you.

Weekend Update

Friday

Dinner and Drinks at Santana Row

and I also got to see this super cute pic:

Saturday

We headed out to Eastridge mall to get a couple errands done.
First stop, cheesesteaks:

Then clothes shopping for my interview this week,
followed my getting my ring sized.

THEN!
I finally, FINALLY, got to see Les Miserables.
I cried.
(like you're suprised!)

We then came home, made our own nice dinner,

and ate some "healthy" candy that we found.

Sunday

For Mike's 29th birthday, I got him tickets to the IONS 40th anniversary event.
On Sunday, accompanied by GORGEOUS weather, we drove into Petaluma.

reminds me of home..

We explored the campus, had some wine, and walked the labyrinth.

There were door prizes there, and luckily MIKE WON!
Looks like we'll be driving up to Petaluma one weekend!

After IONS, we found out that Lagunitas was only 5 minutes away.
So, OF COURSE, we went!

I'm starting to like California :)

The State of OUR Union

Now,

NO, I havent told you about the engagement yet.
or any of Europe. I'm SORRY!

But, the time to wedding plan, has come.
and lordy-mercy, thank ya for Pinterest.

I can't tell you the actual date, yet,
but I can give you a glimpse over the colors we're looking at.

I don't know if I'll have a bridal shower(s) or even an engagement party,
but this is still a KILLER theme.

I dont know if we'll be able to have Shiva in the Ceremony,
but I DEFINITELY want her in the engagement photos.

I've also become mildly obsessed with all things "MRS."

Cable Car tour of SF

Our next day in San Francisco,
was spent doing a cable car tour.
I would link you to the website, but devastatingly,
they no longer offer tours.
There are "ducks" and "buses" and other tours you can take if you want.

Our Car

Our tour took us through the Presidio,
which was awesome,
and you can rent the adorable houses below
for a mere $6000.

We also saw some Painted Ladies!

We saw the SF Museum of Fine arts,

and OF COURSE,
the Golden Gate Bridge.

Yes, he made me nervous when he did this..
<3

I know most people try to shy away from overly touristy activies,
but I really can't recommend them enough.
For a small period of time.
Bite the bullet, take 3 hours out, and SEE the things that are on the list,
then sneak into a bar off the street and pretend your local.
