Weekend Update

A pretty cool weekend, 

but light on the words, and pictures. 

FRIDAY

After a trip to the DMV, 

and a full day of work, 

I met Mike for dinner and drinks in Sunnyvale.

SATURDAY

We headed into San Francisco early in the morning. 

We stopped at Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem for brunch, 

brunch which included mimosas, bloody marys, and fernet shots. 

And yes, that was a chicken sandwich in a jelly doughnut.

When you see that on a menu, curiosity just wins. 

IT WINS. 

Then we headed over to Candlestick for a behind the scenes tour. 

Complete with frolicking. 

Come back tomorrow for more on our tour. 

After leaving the stadium, 

we headed out to Santana Row to window shop,

 buy more kitchen gadgets, and grab some grub. 

SUNDAY

Sunday was a work day around here. 

Getting ready for the week, cleaning the house, 

helping Olive write a final paper, 

lazy bum

and trying to convince Shiva she's no longer a tiny puppy.  

I dont think she buys it. 

Weekend Update

After the heaviness of Friday, 

there are no words. 

I guess I've always felt that the show must go on. 

I hope this isnt perceived as callous, but rather a celebration of life. 

Along with a reminder that life can be cut way to short, and must be lived.

The last weekend of Hanukkah,

and I got a present! 

Mike came back from Brazil.

A 4 year old dumpster cat. Loves tuna, hates chicken, 

curious by nature but skiddish and apprehensive. 

Best Friend is a milk ring. 

Addicted to cat nip.

Arch nemesis is a small stuffed buffalo. 

A 3 year old dumpster cat. No desire for catnip.

Enjoys attacking from under blankets.

 Feathers are her weakness, 

she loves to sleep on shoes and doesn't like loud noises. 

This includes Shiva. 

The newest member. 

Recently discovered how to bark, dig and jump over gates. 

Best friend is a cow (for today.)

Avid blogger, chewer and pee-er. 

Though she's getting better at the last part.

Friday

Mike's Easter/Passover basket

 We skyped with Mike's family for Passover before eating our own Sedarish meal. Matzo ball soup, Matzo, hard boiled eggs, greens, and latkes.

Mike cooked, and I supplied the Kosher wine

 Afterwards, we played a ton of Rock Band, and decided to see what would happen if we put chocolate covered peeps in the  microwave.
