D&B: or, How I Learned to stop being afraid of Zombies and love the Dinosaurs.

A few weeks ago,
Mike and I went to Dave and Busters.

I've been, yes, when I turned 21.
7 years ago. Yesterday.
There's one really close to us,
so we decided to give it a shot.

Mr. Video Game was in heaven!

We LOVED the Jurassic Park game,

the photobooth,

and the cut the rope game.

We even got a nice set of tickets going...

Then..Mike saw the 4D zombie.
Let's list the things I don't like.
1. Zombies, 2. being scared, 3. things jumping at me, 4. zombies.

Well, marriage means killing zombies together.
So, I played.

IT WAS FUN!
Not scary..
(well, the zombies that had 8 legs were..)
BUT, the breeze on my neck was nice.

We ended the night with a nice set of tickets,
and I think we'll be back. :)

Oakland Game

 A little bit ago,
Mike made our way out to Oakland for an A's game.

It's an adorably small stadium.

OH! And when we went, they had Green Day themed fireworks.

On the way out,
we checked the A's store. Seeing a Cespedes jersey in Mets colors was pretty cool.
It was not $120 cool, however.

Like a Fish!

I mentioned that we took Shiva to the beach this weekend.
She'd never been around water before: not a lake, a beach, even a large creek.
So, we weren't sure how she would take to it.
We packed her in the car, drove the hour up to Half Moon Bay, and crossed our fingers.
As soon as she was off the leash at the beach..well, just look at the photos.

Before:

We also met a very LARGE puppy. The big guy absolutely dwarfed Shiva,
but they hit it off and LOVED playing together.
size reference

After:

Poor thing was so sleepy when she got back in the car, she was asleep before we left the parking lot.
She barely moved when we pulled into the brewery for dinner.

(Don't worry about the heat, it was 58* that day, the windows were open and we checked on her often..during which she was still sleeping)

We're definitely planning on taking her back as much as possible.
I think she slept for two days straight afterwards.

AT&T Park

 Like I said earlier,
we booked tickets to tour AT&T park.
Yeah, it's baseball season but the Giants weren't in town.

It didn't really matter though.
The weather was so good, I'd have stayed there all day.

Inside the stadium was just as awesome.
The Giants are the only ballpark licensed to use the Peanuts characters.
Charles Schultz was apparently a big fan.

We also got to tour the locker rooms.

Then we also got to go on the field.
Not on the grass, but on the low tracking sand.

It's really cool to imagine being here when the stands are filled.

We also got to see the dugout.

And, play in the dugout.

Finally, like always, we checked out the store.
Always go to the team store. You can find the most authentic, most kitchy or most awesome things you're looking for, or didn't know you needed to look for.
EXAMPLE: A toboggan with a built in beard.

or a shirt that makes you want to wave your ring around.
(While singing along with Marilyn Monroe..of course)
