Christmas at Home

Since moving to California,
I've definitely been homesick.
Also, since moving away,
it became really important to me,
to go home for Christmas.

Mom had the lights on,

and Mike saved the day by using a teeeeny tiny corkscrew to open the wine.

 The tree was all ready,

 with a couple special ornaments.

This pic is from Versailles,

and this one was to celebrate our new addition ;)

And, there was even a stocking for me and Mike, that Mom made.

Family photos were taken.

..well, some were only attempted.

We also had a huge family gathering at my Grandma's house.

(complete with presents for the littles)
I think he was happy.

The youngest little needed help opening his truck.
I tried.

but I failed.

BUT! Again, Mike saves the day.

success.

You see, I am the youngest of the middles.
My mom & siblings & spouses are the bigs.
Their children, are the middles.
And their grandchildren, are the littles.
I do not have a little.
And mom jokingly told me that the littles would only listen to an adult.
ahem. I am 26. I am an adult.

I gave her proper amounts of crap for that..

Check back tomorrow for a glimpse into the present opening.
I promise it's fun.
